Service Agreement

By subscribing to a photography package and paying your invoice, you are agreeing to the following:

General

Grocery Limits

Each recipe includes a $15 grocery limit. If your recipe requires us to go above that limit we will let you know and invoice you the difference as outlined in the Payments & Refunds section.

In addition, if we are unable to find the necessary ingredients for your recipe we will work with you to determine a viable substitute or have you choose a different recipe.

Active Time Limit

Recipes that have more than 1 hour of active time may incur an additional charge. If we determine that the recipe warrants an additional charge we’ll let you know how much the charge will be. You may then decide to choose a different recipe or accept the charge. The invoice for this additional charge will be sent as outlined in the Payments & Refunds section.

Refusal of Recipe

We have the right to refuse a recipe for any reason. If we refuse a recipe we will inform you and have you pick another recipe.

Duplicate/Similar Recipes

We work with a lot of bloggers so it’s possible your recipe may be similar to another bloggers recipe. If we notice your recipe is similar to one we’ve already done we will do our best to make it look unique. However, we can not be held responsible if your images have some similarities to others we have done.

Force Majeure

If an unforeseen circumstance occurs and we are unable to deliver your photos to you by the end of the month we will let you know as soon as possible. We will then work with you to determine the best course of action. 

Some examples of possible resolutions are, but not limited to, completing recipes at a later date, discounts, or refunds.

Branded Items

If your recipe calls for an ingredient of a specific brand it may incur an additional charge. This will mostly be determined based on how easily accessible the branded ingredient is, and whether or not you need to ensure the brand is present in the photos. 

In addition, we not responsible for any legal issues that may arise from you using a branded item in your recipe.

Image Details

Images Received

Each month you will receive the following images per recipe:

  • At least 1 vertical image of the finished recipe
  • At least 1 horizontal image of the finished recipe
  • At least 1 process image

NOTE: Most of the time you’ll receive more depending on the recipe. 

Image Format

Each image will be delivered in the following formats:

High Resolution JPEG

  • ~5000px x 3000px
  • 300 DPI

Web-ready JPEG

  • 750px wide
  • 72 DPI

No RAW files will be provided.

Image Delivery

Images will be provided to you via a Dropbox folder.

We guarantee the folder will be available for at least 30 days. After that there is no guarantee, so please make sure to download and backup the images to your own devices.

Ownership Rights

You own the rights to any of the images provided to you.

The only exception to this is if you have an outstanding invoice related to a recipe. In that case, we still maintain the rights to those images until the invoice is paid in full.

No attribution is required, but we wouldn’t mind a shoutout every now and then.

Also, you are allowed to modify the images, and use them for your website, cookbooks, etc. as you see fit.

The only thing you can’t do is claim you took the photos.

Subscription

What’s Included

Your subscription is paying for us to cook your recipe per your instructions, photograph it, and deliver the images to you.

Image information is outlined above in the Image Details section.

Renewal

Your subscription is a month to month contract that is set to renew on the 1st day of every month. By paying your invoice, you are agreeing to renew your subscription for that month.

Adjustments

If you’d like to adjust your subscription (increasing or decreasing the number of recipes) simply let us know via email. We’ll send you a confirmation of the change and your invoice for the next month will reflect the adjustment.

Cancellation

You may cancel at any time. Simply let us know via email that you’d like to cancel your subscription and we’ll send you a confirmation of the cancellation. Your subscription will stay active for the rest of the month (so we can finish your current recipes), but you will not be invoiced at the beginning of the next month.

In addition, if you fail to pay your invoice within 5 days of it being sent out, we have the right to cancel your subscription and open your spot to someone else.

Important Dates

To keep everything flowing smoothly, here are the important dates you need to remember for each month:

1st of the Month

You will receive your invoice for the month on this day.

5th of the Month

By this day your invoice needs to be paid, and we need your list of all recipes you want photographed.

15th of the Month

On this day you’ll receive a mid-month update email from us.

Last Day of the Month

By the last day of the month, you’ll receive all your images

Payments & Refunds

Payment Methods

We accept all major credit cards and PayPal.

Invoices

You’ll receive your invoice via PayPal on the first day of the month. Payment is due upon receipt.

If your recipe(s) exceeds the $15 grocery limit we will let you know via email and then send an invoice for the amount the recipe(s) exceeded. Payment is due upon receipt.

Refunds

If you need a refund please contact us as soon as possible. Normally once your invoice has been paid we start the process of purchasing all the groceries for your recipes. So, it may not be possible for us to offer a refund. However, we know life happens so we will try to come up a solution that works for all.
