FAQ

General

At the beginning of every month you send us the recipes you want us to photograph. Over the course of the month we’ll make and photograph each recipe. By the end of the month (usually sooner though) you’ll receive all your images.

Yes! Regardless of how old your recipe is, we’ll help you update it with new photos.

Yes! Simply provide us the ingredients list and instructions and we’ll photograph it for you.

We do take special requests into consideration. So, if you’d like us to prepare or decorate your recipe a certain way let us know. If it’s not possible or practical for us to do so, we’ll discuss it with you.

The only limits we have for recipes is that they stay under $15 for ingredients and don’t have more than 1 hour of active cooking time.

Other than that, we’re open to cooking just about anything (provided we can find all of the ingredients in our area).

We have most common and uncommon appliances and cookware. For a full list, check out our Equipment List.

Images

Images will be provided to you via a Dropbox folder.

We guarantee the folder will be available for at least 30 days. After that there is no guarantee, so please make sure to download and backup the images to your own devices.

We guarantee your images will be delivered to you before the end of the month. However, we often deliver well before the end of the month.

High resolution images are 300 DPI and usually a minimum of 5000px on the longest side. These are perfect for physical cookbooks and other printed designs.

Web-ready images are 72 DPI and 750px wide. These are perfect for your website and can be uploaded right away.

Unfortunately due to the cost of ingredients and time to cook/photograph the recipe we do not offer reshoots.

If you are unsatisfied with your images please let us know and we can work towards a solution that is agreeable for all.

We do not offer the RAW files from our photoshoots.

Ownership

Nope! The images you receive are fully owned by you so you are free to use the images without ever mentioning us.

While we love to get shoutouts, we understand if you want to keep things anonymous.

Yes! Since you own the rights to the images you can use them in any way you see fit (cookbooks, printed designs, online courses, etc)

The only thing you can’t do with the images is to claim that you took the photos yourself.

Payments & Refunds

We accept all major credit cards and PayPal.

Yes! You may cancel or adjust your subscription at any time. Simply let us know via email that you’d like to cancel/adjust your subscription and we’ll send you a confirmation of the change. Your current subscription will stay active for the rest of the month (so we can finish your current recipes), and any changes will take affect the following month.

If you need a refund please contact as soon as possible. Normally once your invoice has been paid we start the process of purchasing all the groceries for your recipes. So, it may not be possible for us to offer a refund. However, we know life happens so we will try to come up a solution that works for all.

No. Typically recipe testing services make your recipe 3+ times to confirm everything about the recipe. They may even offer suggestions based on the result of the recipe.

Your Recipe Notes cover many of the same topics as a recipe testing service. The main difference is we are only making the recipe once, not 3+ times.
